Viv’s latest diet advice to athletes is “do NOT eat an Easter egg 15 minutes before going out for a run”

A lovely evening tonight, enticing 6 runners out including a first-timer – welcome!  Four completed the long course, with two taking the Hedley short-cut.

Three out this evening – perfect running conditions.  Two made the full long loop, in 42:43 – about 9 mins/mile.  Disappointingly, Humphries was too busy for a post-run drink – we were too impatient to queue!

The clocks have gone forward, it’s still light at 7.30pm (just!) so time for a new route!  Hedley has come up with a more-or-less completely off-tarmac circuit (green route on map) and five turned up to give it a go on a very pleasant Spring evening. Total distance = 7.7 km.

Hodsons plus Hedley on Short. Good running conditions. Zero walking by anybody.  DH did the Dixon release plus the Frampton loop and still got back first.

Chaos at Campus West tonight – something big must have finished as there were huge queues at the ticket machines.  Nobody wanted a run though so it was just me on the short course on a very mild evening.

Short run beat 29 minutes AND 6mins/km

I thought orienteers were supposed to be hardy souls?  Just one out running tonight – cool and a bit damp but not too bad.  Stomach full of pancakes so just the short course tonight…  25:24 mins.
