Welwyn & St Albans Running

Six out this evening on a dry, mild and clear evening. Just 2 on long and 4 starting on short.

Chaos on the roads today, with an accident making it difficult to get to the start but 6 made it with 3 on the long course, 2 on short and 1 hybrid. Some good times on a grey but relatively mild evening.

Cold & wet this evening – persistent rain turning to snow while we recovered in the cafe. Despite the weather, two out on the short course (with an impressive time!) and three on the long.

The good news was it wasn’t raining tonight – instead there was a decent sprinkling of snow and just two hardy (or foolhardy?) runners turned up. Just the short course tonight on beautifully soft and quiet pavements.

6 outside Campus West for the run, and 1 inside enjoying the culture… 3 on short and 3 on long on another dry and relatively mild evening.

Back after Christmas with no adverse effect on times.  3 runners on each course.  Cold and dry.

Wet.

With two regulars unavailable I had high hopes that nobody would turn up but we had 5 in total – 3 on the shorter route and 3 on the longer.

Six runners tonight on a cool, clear evening.  4 took on the short and 2 on the long, who started off too quickly and regretted it later…

Post-run, we were joined by 2 more for a catch-up in Humphrey’s.

A couple of regulars made their excuses tonight, leaving 2 on the short course and 3 on the long.  Both were fleet of foot in cold, dry conditions with the short course runners doing particularly well (although with a guesstimated time…).

Post-run, the inaugural Tuesday evening social event took place, with one extra joining the runners for a drink and a chat.

7 runners again, but raining for the first time in ages.  Long and short a bit slower – possibly extra distance avoiding the puddles!
