Welwyn & St Albans Running

Not a particularly promising evening – getting decidedly chilly, and some dampness in the air.  However, 7 turned up – 4 on the short course (or variations) and 3 on long (or variations).

Another fine evening, with 4 on the short course and 2 on the long.  A great time on the short course this week!

A surprisingly warm evening.  2 on short and 2 on long, and 1 as a cheering spectator….  The long course added in two extra loops, as per 30 Oct.

Just two out, one on each course, with the long course doing both the Southern extra stretch and the Reddings Loop.

Another lovely evening for a run – clear, cooler with a full moon.  Five out tonight – 3 on the short course and 2 on long – with a slight extension on long to try to even things up.  As a result the two groups met more often on the way round and set up a final run-in, joined by the Garden City Runners out on their own run…

2 shorts and 2 longs.  Finish times very close.  Very warm for October.

Just 3 out tonight – 2 longs and a short.  Longs included the Reddings loop again, at a decent pace – not having dinner first makes a significant difference in speed!

Another dry, warm evening that tempted 5 out, with 3 on long and 2 on short.  The Longs were comfortably ahead today so opted to add in the Reddings loop so the long time doesn’t do the runners justice!

3 on long – taking it a bit easier than usual – and 1 on short.  Getting darker quickly now!

The new run at St Albans is moving to Thursday so that all you keenies out there can get two training runs in a week if you want to! So from 27 September we will be meeting at 7pm at the entrance to Highfield Park Centre Car Park, off Russet Drive (AL4 0DB). Please aim to come in good time because we will start the run at 7pm sharp.
