Welwyn & St Albans Running

Back to Welwyn tonight and with a few regulars away, just 3 out.  2 on the long and 1 on short on a warm, blustery evening.

Summer’s gone so the new season’s evening running has started.  Not content with our Welwyn routes, we’ve branched out to St Albans so drummed up some new runners and trialled a couple of routes from Highfield Park.

Despite the rather damp (but warm) weather we had 7 runners on the long course (~ 7.4 km) and 3 humans and a canine on the short course (~ 5.8 km).  The planning was excellent as both groups finished within a few seconds of each other (see RouteGadget page), and it look like there was sufficient interest to run both Welwyn and St Albans runs from next week…

Last run of the season.  Back to normal direction.  3 Hodsons plus two with Dan making the pace on the Long.

First run in the daylight and we did it the opposite way round.

Just one out tonight, on long.  A new personal best for the first 5 km, then considerably slower for the last 1.5 km or so!

3 out tonight – 1 on long, and 2 on short (one nursing a recovering ankle!)

Lots of excuses tonight so just one hardy soul out – shifting from long to short though due to ice, snow and general lethargy.

Back to a full complement tonight – 2 on long, 2 on short and 1 mix-and-match.
